Job Description:

The accountant role in the company helps to identify and protects the growth and financial operation. This position will report directly to Senior Accountant, and any other partners within the corporation in the financial side of the business, working closely with department heads when needed. This role will work closely with areas as Sales, Operations, purchasing, warehouse, inventory, and COO in developing, maintaining, and achieving Morski Brands corporate goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Accounting

• Review and post all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable entries done by on-site team including debit/credit memos, customer invoices, vendor invoices, ACH and AR payments.
• Assist and back up on the update customer pricing and vendor costing lists as needed.
• Complete data entry for Weekly Sales reporting
• Prepare all necessary monthly recurring journal entries in accounting software platform.
• Assist and back up the responsible for ACH initiations and approvals with company banking institution.
• Initiate AP check runs as needed.
• Will serve as a point of contact with bank liaison if it is needed.
• Provide Monthly Customer Profitability reporting data to ownership team
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations.
• Be familiar with the proper accounting for four entities under corporate umbrella.
• Parity Factory software management support.
• Any other tasks assigned by a supervisor to help the team accomplish its immediate goals.

Finance

• Assist as year-end point of contact for tax preparation
• Process all monthly journal entries and review specific amounts quarterly
• Any other tasks assigned by a supervisor to help the team accomplish its immediate goals.

Purchasing and Inventory

• Process and report all destruction forms in Parity and Intacct
• Prepare month-end journal entries
• Ensure Intacct QTYs and Values stay in line between inventory and accounting systems
• Update Raw Material costing in Intacct to actual costing and update accordingly
• Oversee all discussions relating and involving inventory discrepancies and accounting action needed
• Any other tasks assigned by a supervisor to help the team accomplish its immediate goals.
• Handle all on site inventory/accounting processes within departments

Education

• Prefer 3 to 5 years of Accounting/Finance experience with a manufacturing company but will train the right candidate
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field required
• CPA preferred

Work Environment

This position is an on site position. This role may require frequent sitting, standing, major hand movements to finger, handle, feel, grasp, grip, twist, turn, push, and pull. May at times require lifting of up to 20 pounds relating to office supplies and/or files.
